We believe that ORICs are the cornerstone of Pakistan's economic future, and they hold the key to driving national development and increasing the country's GDP. The ORIC Visionary Club is the essential starting point for all universities in Pakistan, whether they are an established ORIC seeking sustainable growth or an aspiring institution ready to build a foundation for research and innovation. Through our membership, we provide a comprehensive ecosystem of support, ensuring that every university is empowered to achieve its full potential and contribute to national development.
We provide our members with exclusive SRIC programs, including discounts on a wide range of short courses for ORIC staff, bespoke training and development initiatives, and a specialized ORIC Diploma for directors and leaders. These offerings are designed to polish the skills and knowledge required to manage a successful research and innovation ecosystem.
As a member, universities gain privileged access to our comprehensive suite of events, including workshops, seminars, and national conferences. Furthermore, we act as a conduit to connect universities with vital projects, funding, grants, and other opportunities, ensuring that their research has the resources it needs to flourish.
We provide aspiring universities with full-time support, offering both general and specific guidance based on their requirements to successfully establish their ORIC from the ground up.
For universities with an existing ORIC, our focus shifts to sustainability. We offer specialized programs and continuous support to ensure their operations are efficient and their impact is long-lasting.
Our ultimate goal is to empower students. We aim to guide their final projects toward becoming viable startups and entrepreneurial ventures, fostering a new generation of innovators.
Once universities are a part of our ecosystem, their research and innovation work will be recorded and displayed through our annual report, the **Shehnaz Index**. This evaluation tool ranks universities based on their performance, creating a transparent record that benefits students by helping them choose the best institutions for their entrepreneurial journey.

Prof. Dr. Akhlas Ahmed provides strategic guidance and leadership to the ORIC Visionary Club, ensuring alignment with national priorities in research, innovation, and commercialization. He brings decades of academia and industrial experience to this national initiative.
Lead – National ORIC Development Initiative
Head of Secretariat, ORIC Visionary Club
Mr. Muhammad Hassan leads the National ORIC Development Initiative and heads the Secretariat of the ORIC Visionary Club. He is responsible for driving its vision, overseeing operations, and building partnerships with universities nationwide.
Coordinator – ORIC Visionary Club
Ms. Quratulain Rasheed serves as the Coordinator of the ORIC Visionary Club. She assists universities throughout the membership process and provides frontline support for queries and communication.
Program Support Officer – IT & Technical Assistance
Mr. Hassan Muhammad Khan supports the ORIC Visionary Club Secretariat with IT and technical assistance, ensuring smooth backend operations and digital facilitation.
